Welcome to InsurGrid!

Chase Beach started InsurGrid after a conversation with my Mom (who owns an insurance agency) about her biggest challenge: collecting information to quote.

We may be software developers, but we come from a long line of insurance agents, and that’s who we’re building for. We’re a new startup, and we need your help. If you ever have any feedback or ideas on how to make our product better, we would love to hear from you 🙂.

We’re happy to partner with you to help your team collect policy summaries, qualify prospects accurately, and speed up your agency sales process. As you get started with InsurGrid, you’ll likely be doing one of a few things: sharing your InsurGrid link and reviewing prospects declaration pages.

This guide will walk you through the basics of InsurGrid. We’ll link to other articles along the way to take you more in-depth.

1. Your InsurGrid link

This is the real meat and potatoes of the InsurGrid solution. The InsurGrid link is where you will send prospects and/or existing customers to collect their personal information and policy summaries. In the InsurGrid link, your prospects are taken through a modern consumer experience to share their information - all through an easy, secure, and modern process.

The InsurGrid link in 4 Steps:

  1. Share your InsurGrid link to prospects by saying "Use this link and it will make it super easy and secure for you to share your insurance information."

  2. Prospect receives the agent's InsurGrid link and begins entering their personal information in the tool.

  3. Prospect connects to their current insurance provider and then their dec pages is sent to the agent.

  4. Agent receives an email notification when a prospect completes the InsurGrid link and the prospect’s submission will appear in the dashboard.

The entire InsurGrid link is custom branded to your agency and includes your agency’s logo, profile pic, company name, and company colors. If you would like to upload a different logo, change the profile pic, or even adjust the company name, you may do so in the settings option on your agent dashboard.

2. Sharing your InsurGrid link with your first prospect

  • Identify 3 people they need to collect dec pages from

  • Share your InsurGrid link with those people by saying "Use this link and it will make it super easy and secure for you to share your insurance information."

  • Sit back and watch the declaration pages appear on your agent dashboard.

3. Reviewing prospect submissions in the dashboard

As prospects complete the InsurGrid link, their information will appear in your dashboard. You will see the following information for each prospect submission:

  • Submission Date

  • Full Name

  • Email

  • DOB

  • Drivers License #

  • Drivers License State

  • Additional Driver Info

  • Current insurance Provider

  • Dec Page & Policy Information

Prospect Statuses - For those prospects who went through the InsurGrid link and did not complete the entire process, their information will also appear in the dashboard. Since they did not fully complete the InsurGrid link, their status will be marked as incomplete. Those who have completed the InsurGrid link, their status will be marked as completed.

4. Receiving email notifications on submissions

You will receive an email notification when a prospect completes the InsurGrid link.

5. Adding agents and/or creating new InsurGrid links

If you would like to add additional agents, you can go to settings option on your agent dashboard.

That’s all folks. We’re working hard to improve the product everyday and implement your feedback. If you have questions, need tips, share feedback or want to get access to additional features, please get in touch with the InsurGrid support team at support@insurgrid.com.
